Classic Kitchen Installation

Through our final installation we are recreating a kitchen. We researched types of kitchens and different theme-based on ten music genres we got which was classical/jazz. The first step was that we created a sketch/rendering of how we would want our kitchen to look like. The kitchen will depict the type of aesthetic someone who listens to jazz would have in throughout a section of their kitchen. We decided to use bold colors and prints with hints of neutrals like black and white. We are using foam core board, a rug, images from a calendar to Create an abstract collage, mirrors, as well as print outs to make our judge has realistic as possible. To complete our installation, we used record players to add dimension and balance throughout the installation. Also, we used black tape to give our cabinets a gingham pattern as well as adding black handles on our cabinets.
